Meet our Founder Sean Tomalty
Dr. Sean Tomalty D.M.D., founder of EKOS Dental Group, comes from a family deeply rooted in dentistry, both his father and brother are dentists. A proud University of Florida alumnus (Go Gators!), Dr. Sean Tomalty combines his love for community care with a strong commitment to empowering dentists to practice with autonomy.
Throughout his career, he has held multiple leadership roles at both the state and local levels, including serving as President of the Treasure Coast Dental Association. These experiences have shaped his vision for EKOS: a dental group that provides dentists with the freedom to make clinical decisions while offering the operational support needed to thrive.
Known for his approachable and collaborative style, Dr. Tomalty is passionate about mentoring fellow dentists, advocating for clinical excellence, and creating a professional community where providers feel supported and inspired. His mission is to redefine the dental experience for both dentists and patients, proving that independence, leadership, and patient-centered care can go hand in hand.

”Forty-eight years after starting my solo practice in Fort Pierce it came time to hang up the hand piece and sell. I looked at several proposals and chose to join Sean Tomalty and EKOS, based on a positive recommendations from local colleagues.

"I would like to share my experience of the transition of my practice to Ekos Dental Group. Having had a private practice in Palm City since 1987, I was concerned with finding the correct dentist that would ensure the continued care of my patients in the way they were accustomed. I chose to sell the practice to Dr. Sean Tomalty in 2019 and continued to work in the practice for an additional three years until my wife and I relocated to North Carolina.
During those three years, I was able to concentrate on clinical dentistry while Dr. Tomalty supported me as the practice leader and took care of the practice management aspects. As the clinician, I continued to use the dental materials and supplies to which I was accustomed. The EKOS Group took care of ordering supplies, staffing, and additional day to day requirements.”
